The use of the Poco F3 GT AMOLED display has been confirmed, making it the first Poco branded smartphone since 2018. Here are all the details.

In a recent social media post, the company confirmed the use of an AMOLED display with an Refresh rate of 120 Hz. Display will be HDR10 + certified and DC dimming support. While these names are beautiful on paper, these technologies have been around for a few years since its competitors in smartphones.

Before the 120Hz AMOLED display was unveiled, Poco proudly unveiled the options for the F3 GT and the chipset it was going to use. Like most of the ₹50,000 smartphones these days, the F3 GT MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset is going to be used. The upcoming OnePlus Nord 2 is going to use this chip.
Rumors have long suggested that the Redmi K40 will be a gaming version renamed based on the Poco F3 GT. Current expressions match the features in the Redmi number. So, it would not be surprising to see an aggressive gaming phone like design with exclusive pop-up shoulder triggers and some fancy LED lights.

The Redmi K40 Gaming relies on a 5000mAh battery and paired with a 67W fast charging wire solution. So, the Poco F3 GT can get these features as well. There is no word yet on pricing, but Poco mentions the device's midrange fit. We expect the Poco F3 GT to be priced according to the OnePlus Nord 2 and the Realme X7 Max.
The day before, Oppo had launched the Reno 6 and Reno 6 Pro in India at a price of ₹40,000. The Oppo Reno 6 Pro also uses the Dimensity 1200 chipset, and features high-end features such as a curved edge AMOLED display and a 64-megapixel quad rear camera system.
