Amazon is Working on Bringing High-Speed Satellite Internet Services to India. This is Competing against Bharti-backed OneWeb and Elon Musk's SpaceX.

Amazon is Planning to Approach the Government in Order to Deal with the Various Factors that Play a Part in Internet Services. The Global E-Commerce giant (Amazon) is Planning to Start Working on High Speed Satellite Internet Services in India. People Familiar with the matter said, in a move that is sure to Spark Off the Competition with Elon Musk's SpaceX and Jio's Internet Services.

The Department of Space:

Jeff Bezos will Approach the Government to discuss Modalities, Authorizations, Permits, Landing Rights and Satellite Bandwidth Leasing Costs. The Department of Space (DoS) will be Granted Landing Rights for Downlinking Signals of Foreign Satellites into the Country.

Amazon is Investing Over $10 Billion  to Build a Constellation of 3,236 Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Satellites as Part of its Global Space Internet initiative, Project Kuiper. America Aerospace Company SpaceX has gotten Approval to Deploy Over 2000 Starlink Satellites at a Lower Earth Orbit, by the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

OneWeb and SpaceX:

Amazon cannot ignore since at Stake is a $500 Million near Term Revenue Opportunity from Servicing Millions of Indians in Rural and Remote areas through Satellite Based, Fast Internet Services. LEO Satellite Systems are being Viewed as a Viable Alternative, through it is Costly at Present.

OneWeb and SpaceX have already Announced Big India Plans that could give them a Strong First Mover Advantage in a Key Telecom Market. FCC has Approved SpaceX to Deploy 2,824 Satellites at a LEO, as part of its Starlink Project.
